Jeddah Valley Company Organizes “Buthra” Initiative in Partnership with King Abdulaziz University to Support Entrepreneurs

As part of its ongoing support for the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, Jeddah Valley Company — the investment arm of King Abdulaziz University — in collaboration with the University’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, showcased the work of 13 startup companies under the “Buthra” initiative on Thursday, June 18, 2050, at the university campus.

The event was attended by the University President, Dr. Tareef bin Youssef Al-Ama, the CEO of Jeddah Valley Company, Dr. Satam Lanjawi, along with several leaders from the university and the company. Participating startups presented their business models and future plans, while discussions focused on development opportunities and connecting the startups with investors and support entities.

The “Buthra” initiative aims to enhance the entrepreneurial environment within the university and empower entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into scalable and investable projects by offering a range of services, including mentorship, consultation, funding opportunities, and linkages to supportive organizations and investors.

Jeddah Valley Company reaffirmed its commitment to supporting and empowering startups emerging from the university, in line with its vision to foster knowledge and economic transformation and invest in young minds and innovative capacities.
