Wadi Jeddah Fund for Audacious Investment is a fund concerned with investment in starting companies in the establishment phase only, which is an early phase characterized by high risk attaining 85%. The fund aims to invest in companies which use creative and technology based work models only; and thus achieves high revenues against high risk.
It is an investment contract between Al Rahma Economic Limited Company and Wadi Jeddah Company, The Idea of “Manarat Al-Maarifa” Real Estate Development Company arose out of King Abdulaziz University’s vision to be a beacon of knowledge, integrated training and a pioneer in development to be an attractive environment to attract scientists, consultants and major investors from around the world is as follows:
A- Manarat Al-Maarifa (1): Is a collection of buildings and facilities located on the land north of King Abdulaziz University near King Fahd Library with an area of 149,887 square meters.
B- Manarat Al-Maarifa Project (2): The contract project for establishing a commercial mall in the eastern corner of the university, adjacent to Al-Haramain Road, with an area of 224,000 square meters.
“Manarat Al-Maarifa” Company is to be a real landmark and bold start to cause more futuristic visions aiming to the transformation to a diversified flourishing economy, lead by the private sector and a knowledge-based community while preserving Islamic values and the cultural heritage of the Kingdom.
Establishing and operating a water desalination plant in King Abdulaziz University branch in Rabigh on the area of 10,000 m2 for the purpose of producing high-quality desalinated water and providing the university with a portion of its needs as well as supplying it to the industrial sector and residential complexes. The project consists of a water desalination plant with all its annexes, including a distribution station to meet the needs of the city of Rabigh with desalinated water, a filling plant with a capacity of three tides (Loading Arm), and a water tank with a capacity of 6,000 m3 in addition to the Research Center of Excellence for water purification that contains a mini station with production capacity 50 m3 / day for the purpose of study and research, supervised by the Center of Excellence in Water Research at King Abdulaziz University.
It operates with a production capacity of 6,000 m3 / day of desalinated water, which represents 35% of the region’s need. It also uses high-quality RO reverse osmosis technology, the specifications of which are in line with Saudi SASO quality standards and WHO specifications.
The implementation of this mega project is intended to achieve the strategic goals of King Abdulaziz University and the Jeddah Valley Company, as Jeddah Valley is seeking through this profitable project to contribute to supporting research and development in the field of water, especially choosing a high-quality technology in production and low cost for water desalination, which is the technology of the future.
Establishing and operating a commercial center that includes restaurants, shops, service centres, a health club, a women’s salon, a kindergarten, a children’s center, an entertainment center and medical clinics on an area of 8,900 m2 in the female section of King Abdulaziz University in Sulaymaniyah. This project will provide a multi-purpose oasis to meet the needs of female students in various grants, in a way that contributes to enhancing the quality of life program, one of the National Vision 2030 programs.
Operation of Extended Care Hospital on building areas estimated at 29,000 m2 – Burj Al-601 and 404 of Manarat Al-Maarifa Towers 1 – according to the latest technologies and modern medical methods, in addition to the accompanying commercial and administrative facilities inside these buildings and to serve the main branch of King Abdulaziz University in Sulaimaniya. This project is an important addition and qualitative contribution to the health sector in Jeddah, as the extensive care service is considered one of the most important services required by the sector due to its rarity and the diamond needs that the region is witnessing.
